FURTHER LO: Bassist's Heart Ailment Forces Concert Cancellations

October 8, 2007

Columbus, Ohio-based metallers FURTHER LO have been forced to cancel their appearances through November and possibly December due to bassist Ron Cardwell's heart ailment. "Ron is our brother and, of course, still the bassist for FURTHER LO," comments drummer Turk Elliot. "In worst case we will have to work in a temporary replacement for a short while."

Added vocalist Aaron Werner: "Ron is going to be going in for open heart surgery. His assessment for surgery will be complete by Thursday morning and we will find out more and how long his expected recovery time is. We will continue to rehearse without him for now or maybe get a fill-in so we can work out bugs in the new show, but this is definately still Ron's band. All FURTHER LO shows and proposed tours will have to be worked through again and possibly rescheduled for early next year, so please contact us. Well-wishers and friends, please keep your fingers crossed and keep Ron and his family in your prayers."

The brand new FURTHER LO single, "Catch Hell", has been posted on the band's MySpace page. The song comes off the group's upcoming CD "A New Form of Suicide", tentatively due in early 2008 via Power Play Records.

Commented the band: "We are just chomping at the bit to get out there and bring the music live to everyone. This is our best material to date; it is fast and aggressive, definately a departure from the last CD and the production is definitely top notch."
